wonder seat tickets purchased...

Oh the excitment I feel! Chiaki from the Westin Tokyo last night confirmed that the Wonder Seat tickets to Urawa's game against Jubilo Iwata has been purcahsed. I'm almost as excited when Ci told me last year that we were going to Japan to watch an Urawa game; actually no, that's not right, I was way more excited last year.
This year wonder seat package is similar to last years package; except instead of recieving a "game flag" , this year present is a players "bobble head" doll. Each game features a different player; the Urawa vs Jubilo game will be Tatsuya Tanaka. I have mixed feelings about that; I wished it was someone else though. The game before is Hajime Hosogai's - which would have been one of my preferred option. Either way I'm excited to be just going to the game! More then that I'm excited to be going on a holiday! And even more then that I'm excited to be spending 3 weeks with Ci!!!

a milestone...

So it has happened; my car that has been dubbed "Taylor" has finally hit 10,000kms. Actually it happened a few days ago, I just haven't got around to blogging about it. To be honest that day was a pretty bleh day for me, but the excitement of reaching this milestone really did brightened up my day!

So the details. It happened on Wednesday 6th March 2010, just before 14:30. It was on Victoria Rd Ryde in front of the Hunter Holden dealership. Judging from the picture below, I was travelling at 50 km/h. I was on my way to work and the song playing at the time was the Killers "Smile like you mean it". So I did!

the silence is broken...

Well; so much for continuing to blog here consistently, but I have been blogging, just not about me. I've found something much more interesting to blog about; the Urawa Red Diamonds. As I have mentioned I wouldn't be blogging about them here anymore, so I've started a blog dedicated to the Reds; URD | Blogging Red and that's been taking up alot of my blogging time.

So what's been new with me personally; to be honest nothing much. My life has consisted of mainly work work and a bit more work. The weekends, well my weekends has been consisted of recovering from work. Ok, it's not all that bad and if I'm truly honest with myself I do enjoy what I do, but sometimes I just want a break; I want a holiday! I do have one coming up in 5 weeks or so, but I want it now.

Oh yeah, I got a holiday lined up in April and beginning of May. Where I'm going is nothing new as well (see told new, nothing new). I'm going to Japan; and for alot of people it would be like "again?". But for me I like it over there, it's my escape, a place where I can just be and where the Urawa Red Diamonds are based (hehehe...). But this time, I'm not just doing Japan and I'm not flying over there on Jetstar. I'll be doing a stopover in Hong Kong for a 5 days or so and I'll be flying Cathay Pacific, Ci's fav airline.

This trip isn't just about me and what I want to do (my selfish ways) but rather its about what we want to do. (Note: I'm travelling with Ci, who else would I travel with, but I guess I shouldn't assume you all to know that eh?) Yes I do have things I want to do, but I really want this trip to be about "Us" (Ci and I). Because of that I'm excited about this trip!!!

More updates on the trip soon...

One last final note; I'm really into this blogging thing that I'm thinking of starting up another blog; this time based on my search for an EPL team to follow. Maybe, but at the moment I'll just focus on the two.

so it's 2010...

As the saying go 'time flies when you're having fun'; so it seams in 2009 I was having too much fun as it felt as though it went too fast, but it didn't seem that way at times. Now I can't say that 2009 has been a bad year, far from it. There has been some challenges throughout the year, that's for sure, but if it wasn't for those challenges there wouldn't have been the growth! Of cause there was the good times and the holidays so overall 2009 has been a good year.

So thank you 2009 for the memories, and here's to an even better 2010!

shop till you drop...

It's that time of the year again, when the prices go down and people go crazy. Yes, it's the post Christmas sales again. I really don't know what the fuss is, like ok, you do get excited because everything is so cheap cheap cheap, but really? What extent would you go to, just to save a few dollars? Ok maybe more then just a few dollars, but is it worth it? I worked the overnights before the sales this year; that opened at 6am, and you see outside people lining up all night all in the means of finding that bargain!

For me personally I don't really get a thrill of it all. Usually the things I want aren't on sale and I don't particularly enjoy going through crowds of people to get from one point to another (except for when I'm in Japan). Actually on the subject of Japan, that's a place I wouldn't mind to do all my shopping!

so that was christmas...

Christmas this year to be honest didn't feel like Christmas at all. I don't think it's the fact that the older you get the less festive you become, because if I had the opportunity I think I would get into the festive spirit! Rather I didn't get the opportunity to.

Usually Christmas is suppose to be the time you spend with your family and loved ones, well I only got to see my mum & dad for less then 1/2 hour. This year I finished work at 7:00am on Christmas day, and had to start work again at 07:00pm that night (for a 12 hour shift). So in between all I really had time for was, well sleep and not much else.

My Ci did make my Christmas though by leaving my present in her office for me to open, but besides that, I haven't really had much of a Christmas feel this year. I didn't go to any Christmas partys and the only Christmas service I went to was almost two weeks ago.

Anyways, so I've tried to 'save Christmas', well somewhat, by organising a belated family Christmas dinner tonight, with the complete "collection" of people (partners included). Hoestly speaking, I'm looking forward to the dinner tonight!

A belated Merry Christmas everyone!

a place called koorong...

After a few years of not going, today marked my return to Koorong. For some reason or another it brought back quiet a few memories. For those who don't know what Koorong is, it's a Christian book store here in Sydney. So back in my younger years, the items I had bought there consisted of alot of CDs & DVDs, plenty of books, a handful of bibles plus many more other things.

I remember when I use to go there just to read. When I didn't want to buy the book, I'd just go there, sit on the sofa and read the book. Actually back then it wasn't I didn't want to buy the book, rather wasn't able to afford the book (joys of being a teenager!).

Today really did bring back memories, and how life seemed a lot more simple back then!
