Now don't think that the Red Diamonds only at most play once a week and you wouldn't get your midweek dose of all things Urawa. We all know (well at least I know) that in the J-League we haven't been playing all to well; we're currently 8th on the table, but another Urawa team has this past week been crowned the champions. The Urawa Red Ladies are the champions of the Plenus Nadeshiko League (the women's league) for 2009.
In other Urawa news, the Red's J-Satellite team drew 1-all with Thespa Kusatsu. So what is the J-Satellite league? It's kind of the "Reserve" league for the J-League. It's an opportunity for the fringe players to get some competitive game time as well as a chance for members of the youth team to play with the big boys.
