It's amazing sometimes to think where we have come from and where it is that we are going, well where we think we are going anyways. This journey that we are on, to where is it leading us to? I think a lot of the times we focus to much on the destination, the light at the end of the tunnel, our eyes are on the prize that we forget about the actual journey that we are currently on.

I think lately I have been focusing too much on the prize; where's my next promotion, how can I get ahead of the pack, that I forget about the journey that I'm on until it smacks me in the face and you see at the end of the day what really matters. Your job is not your life; there are more important things out there, like your family and friends. You don't identify as to who you are from your accomplishments or your failures. You are who you are, you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). I think lately I have forgotten that, with my eyes focused on my career, which isn't a bad thing, but you do need balance in your life and remember what is important to you.
